The Weekend Facial: Elemental Herbology.

Elemental Herbology Weekend Facial

There’s really nothing else like a little detox night to sort out your skincare woes, I usually save Sunday evenings for such events and these are the face masks that have been giving me a good detoxing each week. I received the Elemental Herbology Weekend Facial set before Christmas and I instantly noticed a difference in my skin from the first use. The idea is to use the three face masks consecutively for a really thorough skin detox; each has it’s own purpose – whether it be peeling, purifying or hydrating.

I tend to start with the Facial Glow Radiance Peel to shed dead skin cells and help dull, dry or flaky skin. I find that this sets me up for the following two masks as it clears any dead cells on the surface, meaning anything else I use works more thoroughly. I find this very similar to the Nude Miracle Mask, but more gentle. After leaving this on skin for four minutes, my skin looked clearer and felt so, so smooth ready for the next mask, the Facial Detox Purifying Mask.
I love a clay mask, they really do decongest pores and leave skin looking healthier in the long run too. This isn’t as drying to the skin as other clay masks and is perfect for clogged pores and blitzing blemishes, I leave it on for ten minutes and let it do it’s magic – unclogging my pores easily and effectively after using the Radiance Peel which has started the process. Whilst I usually use all three masks together, there are times when my skin needs a boost – whether I’ve had a breakout or my skin just looks like it needs a detox.

Lastly, it’s time to give skin a heap of moisture in the form of this Biodynamic Facial Soufflé Intensive Hydration and Repair Mask; a lovely overnight mask that repairs dry and dehydrated skin to turn it back around to it’s best again. The final step in any skincare routine should be a big dose of hydration so I always make sure a nourishing overnight mask completes my facial. This mask is really calming and soothing and helps to reduce any redness and puffiness in my skin (an absolute saviour for Monday mornings!).

Elemental Herbology has quickly become one of my top skincare brands, they’re soothing yet effective and don’t contain no nasties. What do you think of the Weekend Facial, will you be carrying out a similar routine?

I adore Elemental Herbology – every product I’ve used from them has worked wonders on my skin. I particularly love the Perfect Balance moisturiser and the Cell Food serum so I’d love to give your weekend facial a go, three consecutive masks sound like the ultimate pampering treat.

Oh wow they look like some pretty amazing products! Do you cleanse before you pop on a mask though? I think I did once and I got such a bad stinging reaction, I didn’t try it again. I love that you’re managing to blog each day. I always get a bit excited when I see a new post of your blog 🙂

I love the sound of these – my skin’s been really terrible recently (I think it’s still getting over the shock of Christmas/New Year!) and could do with a bit of TLC. May have to make a sneaky purchase ! x

Hello! I absolutely adore your skincare test. I have to do a research paper on any topic of my choice. My major in Biology and my minor is Chemistry. I want my topic to revolve around skincare. Do you have any topic suggests? Classic concepts or emerging ideas? I was thinking ingredients in moisturizer or different types of skincare cleansers. I would be SO GRATEFUL if you were able to respond. Twitter name is @LindzzzMcMullen and my email is
